After spending a few days in Bangkok, then a few days in Phuket, we continued further south to Krabi, where I found a glimpse of paradise on Railay, Tonsai, and Phra Nang beaches.
The video above and some of the pics below illustrate the experience I had visiting this idyllic vacation getaway. The video quality is not great and it’s shaky because it was all shot with my iPhone4 using a LifeProof Case
I had a cabana, a short distance from the pool and the beach, which in the summer of 2012, cost about $30/nt. Which was pretty expensive. No, I am serious. That’s expensive when you are backpacking. I was ok with it although we were far from the nightlife on the other East side of Railay. It was always interesting walking back late at night.
There are no streets or traffic. Only Walking Street. Tonsai beach is the most remote part and can only be accessed by foot when it’s low tide or take an hour long hike through the jungle.
The only access to this beautiful peninsula off the coast of Krabi is by longtail boat.
Below are a collection of some beautiful pics that Tyson and I took.

Kayaking, Caving, Rock-Climbing, hiking, swimming or just lounging and eating scrumptious Thai meals are some of the activities you can enjoy here.
You can even join in on the beachside football every evening before sunset with the locals if you think you can play or if they think you can play!
